Teddy Marcelle, a Trinidad and Tobago-born artist and co-founder of Ridiyum Limited, blends Caribbean energy with contemporary Afrobeat to create music inspired by travel, culture, and human connection. Working as a cruise ship IT Officer, he writes and records while sailing the world, turning his cabin into a mobile studio.

His single “Potomanto” (June 12, 2026) is a vibrant, feel-good Afrobeat anthem and a key release from his upcoming debut album OriXcel. Named after the Ghanaian word for "luggage" or "carry-on," the song celebrates carrying love, memories, and meaningful relationships across borders.

Written during a spontaneous collaboration with a Ghanaian colleague aboard a cruise ship, “Potomanto” embodies the spirit of cultural exchange and adventure. Recorded with minimal equipment and accompanied by a music video filmed on an iPhone across Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific, the release reflects Teddy Marcelle’s resourceful, independent approach while delivering infectious rhythms and a message of unity, joy, and shared experiences.
