MOON CUB - "Utopia 90"

 Moon Cub are releasing their debut single ‘Utopia 90’ on Wednesday 7th May 2025, ahead of

forthcoming debut album ‘Skyline Waiting Room’ due for release in Summer 2025. Utopia 90 is a blissed-out, downtempo track, dripping in airy and nostalgic vibes.

The music for Utopia 90 was written, performed and produced by Rob Muir with the exception of the lyrics and lead vocals, which were written and performed by Suzy Muir. Utopia 90 also features a special guest performance by close personal friend of the band, Pete Norman on

Saxophone. All other instruments are performed by Rob Muir.

Thematically the song is about floating away in thought while travelling long distances, gazing wistfully out of the window and the incoming waves of nostalgia that this can induce, with the song’s narrator longing to return to the optimism and possibilities of living in the nineties.

Moon Cub are on a mission to bring back the atmospheric fusion of sounds such as Trip Hop/Electronica and Psychedelic Pop that emanated from the UK and beyond in the late nineties.
